@ parents who take their kids to public places: if you canât trust a tipsy adult to do something, donât expect a kid to do it! Stay in one place? Nah. Remember where your stuff is? Nah. Tell time and be able to realize you werenât gone for long? NAH.
I know if a kid is especially good and you can trust them then itâs easier (and quieter with less complaints) to just go get something/get food/go to the bathroom really quick. But for gods sake. Just bring the kid if you have no one else to watch them.
THEYRE KIDS.
And if you start getting frustrated with a mentally disabled kid for getting lost (I had the same kid lost TWICE today) consider who is the able & adult person here. Of course your feelings are valid but YOU ARE THE ADULT. If your kid isnât able to notice and take care of their own runny nose they likely are not going to be able to remember where you are and will REASONABLY get scared.
Donât bring your kids anywhere you arenât willing or able to follow them around. This includes into the water at a waterpark. Again. Theyâre kids.
