concept: wordmonster
ok hear me out.
the wordmonster is an entity, a being, etc. sort of representative of your wordcount. wordmonster dictates how much you write, but in really specific ways.
if the wordmonster is running around wild, messing things up, your wordcount gets out of control
if you can't find your wordmonster, you have writer's block. if your wordmonster is sleeping, you're rightfully not writing for good reason.
(sample interaction:
A: "why aren't you writing?" B: "my wordmonster is sleeping/i lost my wordmonster")
asking how's the wordmonster is essentially asking how the wordcount is going. wordmonster baby = not a lot of words; big wordmonster = a lot of words big wordmonster tearing up my backyard = my wordcount is growing out of my control and there is nothing i can do about it huzzah bitches
