Woolgather is the debut EP from Caribbean pop experimental artist Carlos Baltodano, under the name Midas Charles. Under much delay, it was self released via Bandcamp October 7th 2017. Back in 2016, Midas described the influences of the EP as
Woolgather is synthesizing what is real, bringing your dreams to reality, merging both. Nature has been very present in my life as of now. Growing up in an island was truly a magical experience, mostly because of how real everything was. Reality for me isn’t a city or something manufactured by multiple systems, that is someone else’s reality that I don’t understand yet. There’s nothing wrong with either one, I’m just grateful for what I have and what the outcome will be. My influences are everything that have I have gathered up until now I guess, the yins and yangs. They’re pretty present in what I’m creating, just open the eyes.
Woolgather is accompanied by a series of youtube videos, contrasting an alternate reality, or a hyperreality through the eyes of Charles himself. They tell an abstract story via media created by Midas Charles to enhance the music and vice-versa.

She grew sweet little nobblies. Though I am getting worried because some of her leaves are exhibiting the symptoms of being overwatered. She usually slourps up any liquid her roots can get, but I think that's because I have blocked off all of the plants that the fungus gnats usually go for, they infiltrated her pot now. I think they may have damaged her roots. I hope not. I've put her back in her old spot. Maybe the change of scenery caused it. Maybe the familiar surroundings will help her. I'm not too too worried. She's a survivor. I know she's strong.
