[7:21 pm] you let out a large huff as you feel another wave of cramps wash over you. you dragged your knees to your chest, hoping that it would help take some of the pain in your lower abdomen away, but it was to no avail. these throbbing pains had sadly become a part of your world for a few days every month, leaving your head all dizzy and your muscles sore. luckily, you’d gotten help with your period pains by a doctor, and had been given medication that would help take away the pain. it worked perfectly most of the time, but every once in a while, it didn’t. and today was one of those days.
luckily, you were brought out of your cloud of desperation when you heard the front door to your apartment click open. your mind fluttered to the only person you knew had a spare key to the door; wonjin. finally, he was back from practice. just the thought of him made a little bit of your pain disappear, and hearing him call out your name even made you smile. though, that smile disappeared when he entered your room with and he was wearing a tired yet concerned expression.
“how was practice?” you asked, voice so thin it almost broke.
“why are you crying?”
you hadn’t even realized that you had been crying, but when you felt the skin under your eyes with your hand it, sure enough, was wet. you hastily wiped the area with a part of the duvet you were lying on, before looking up at your boyfriend again, a faked smile on your lips.
you repeated your question - but he didn’t answer it this time either. “is it...” he started, making his way towards you and sitting down on the edge of the bed. “that time of the month again?” you nodded quickly, letting a tear fall from the corner of your eye and before you could wipe it away, wonjin had reached forward and done it himself. “did you take your pills?”
“they didn’t work,” you groaned, hiding your face in your hands in an attempt to stop thinking about it. it had made you angry and sad at the same time. it was all becoming overbearing; the pain, the emotions...
almost as if he had read your mind, you felt the bed shift and suddenly you were lying in wonjin’s warm embrace, his arms holding you tightly and one of his hands stroking soft figures into the skin of your side. “do you need anything?” he asked in a voice that was as soft as silk.
you shook your head and removed your hands from your face, instead using them to cup his face. “you’re all i need.”
