10. Do you set yourself deadlines?

Not really. Outside of class deadlines I sort of just deal with writing as it comes. Sometimes I can get things done in a day, or a few days. Sometimes it takes weeks or months. Usually I just set myself a word count for the day and work within that instead. Like, whenever I’m writing I have to write a bare minimum of 500 words, doesn’t matter if it’s more than that but it can’t be less. 

15.  How do you deal with writer’s block?

No coping mechanisms, we suffer like men. No, but for real though I just take a break. I find that it’s easier to come back to something if I haven’t looked at it in a few days. Or I’ll get some encouragment from a friend to try and help me push through. Sometimes I just need to talk through a point I’m stuck on with someone else so they can be like “why haven’t you tried [very simple solution]?” and I can cry over how much of a genius they are. I get writer’s block a lot and it sucks so I just try and remind myself that my worst writing isn’t behind me and that the magic will come back. 

19.  How do you keep yourself motivated?

Pure love of the characters alone, my dude. I just love the shit out of what I’m working with and it makes it so much easier. It be super hard especially when an idea isn’t working out the way you wanted it to, so I just try to rely on faith, hope and a bit of pixie dust.

20.  How many WIPs and story ideas do you have?

OG content? I’ve got about two serious novels and three not quite as serious but I still want them done one day novels/short stories series ideas (and I’m making progress on none of them). 

Fic content? It depends what you classify as a WIP. I have 30+ unfinished fics in my Spring Awakening folder alone which includes chapters of fics I’ve never finished, or pieces of one shots that never got done, or scenes that are just vibing, or just ideas in general that I think are still cool, but haven’t got to yet. And that’s just one fandom (granted it’s the main one I write for so yeah). Basically I have ... a lot that just sits around.

42.  How do you feel about love triangles?

fandom: sanditon, pairing: sidney parker & charlotte heywood, rating: t+, word count: 1,995

Sidney appreciates Charlotte’s protectiveness of their child, even if it sometimes gets him in trouble.

RNM Creator Appreciation Week - Day 1 - Character

Not only was @wonderrbat one of the most prolific creators of Max/Liz/Echo content while the show was airing (THANK YOU FOR FEEDING US) she created this timeless gifset featuring Max Cowboy Evans in all his glory. This gif set has a special place in my heart– not just because it’s epic– but because I had been trying to convince my friend @counttotwenty to catch up on the show. And she said she would but she kept procrastinating starting this little yarn about aliens and humans and falling in love. So finally one day I sent her an email with the subject line “All I’m saying is look at the hot alien cowboy” and included this gif set. I think it’s what tipped the scales ;)

halloween: if you could dress up as anyone/ anything and pull it off absolutely flawlessly, who/what would it be?: tbh I would love to do a Peter Quill cosplay/costume at some point if I could pull it off…which I can’t… 

flannel: what’s your favorite day of the year? is there a reason it’s your favorite?: Christmas!! and I just love the feel of it and i love the music and food and movies and stuff like that :) 

apple picking: if you could go anywhere, where would it be and why?: right now??? on a beach vacation. preferably North Carolina (my favorite vacation spot) I didn’t go on vacation this summer nor have I been in a few years and I just…..miss the beach and the ocean

holding hands: do you believe in soulmates?: hmm I got this question on curiouscat today too and I said “maybe” …so maybe?? really not sure tbh.
