A bit belatedly, I need to give a shoutout to the absolutely amazing Roswell peeps that have made this fandom a joy and who have boosted and supported my creativity. 

I’ve been in a lot of fandoms, and I’ve written fic for a lot of fandoms, but I have to say that Roswell is the first fandom where I truly experienced what being a writer could be. I got support and kudos, of course, but I also got people speculating about my fics; I got comments with headcanons and interpretations and people reading between the lines; I got really interesting comment threads about why characters behaved the way they did; I got requests for author commentary; I got people relating to my portrayal of PTSD and mental illness; I got to have nuanced conversations about those things and the ethics and nuances of portraying them in fiction. In short, I finally felt like what I was creating was something interesting and beautiful and complex, and that readers were willing to engage with it beyond the surface. 

First of all, thank you to my amazing beta @insidious-intent Every time I’m like “but what happens next??” *high-pitched whine* she’s always all “okay, okay, we can fix it!! it’s okay!!” and then we do. And, of course, to the rest of my Roswell fam for the enthusiasm about all of my fics: @gra-sonas, who inevitably reads my fic first think in the morning, at an ungodly hour, and always comments first. @stydiaeverafter, who gives me long, long commentaries that I live for. @manesalex, @i-never-look-away, and @lilasmcosmic for endless enthusiasm and support. 

To @saadiestuff and @salmonthestoryteller, who always help me work out plot issues, cheerlead, and express enthusiasm over the craziest fic ideas that I didn’t think anyone would want to read. You guys inevitably always go “TELL ME MORE” when I’m sitting there thinking “no one will want to read this.” 

@winged-fool, for being my darkfic enabler and endlessly supportive of all the dark and fucked-up places I want to go to

@audreyblanche, who not only kindly let me steal from her to write a demon!Alex sequel to her fic (it’ll see the light of day one day, I swear...) but who also uber patiently helped me work out a lot of the kinks in my early fics with endless patience. 

@jocarthage - your comments are always a pleasure to see on my fics. They’re always there, on every chapter, and you always get it, where I”m going with all the messy trauma and issues in their heads. 

@djchika, who included me as a minor character in her Malex rockstar AU?? I get to be a fic character??? I still can’t believe it and don’t have words for this but boy does it make me feel special and loved 

and, lastly...

@knownochill Do I even need to explain why? Between the knives and the enthusiasm and the treads, you are responsible for like half my fic output, if not more, and also for kicking my crises of confidence in the ass. 

YOU MAKE THIS FANDOM A BETTER PLACE

there’s no way i could possibly tag every single one of this fandom’s cheerleaders because i feel like there’s so many, and the majority of the fandom is so wonderful. these are just a few folks from my corner of the fandom but if you’ve ever commented on one of my fics, reblogged one of my gifsets, or shared any of the fic recs i do, then you are wonderful and i’m unbelievably grateful to be in a fandom that includes you!!

@andrea-lyn and @indarkstars my ride or die fic buddies. the SUPPORT. the excitement at new chapters. killing me with new ideas.

@manesalex kickin it outta the park this week with the love and support. molly didn’t have to go as hard as she did for rnmcreate but she did because she’s amazing.

@chasingshhadows and @ubiestcaelum both reblog gifsets like crazy and add the absolute best comments in the tags, usually to the point where they fuck me up on my own post. 

@goodvibesinroswell an overwhelming force of positivity in this fandom, right when we needed it most!

@audreyblanche inspired at least two of my fics and always making me smile with her comments

Just wanted to acknowledge a few of the amazing artists out there in our fandom: @djchika, @facelessfrey​ and @knownochill (the-night-painter). I truly wish I had that type of talent. Your artwork gives the visual I paint in my mind so clearly. The time and effort you all put into each piece, is appreciated and we’re so grateful. 

Thank you for bringing the imagination to life and giving us beautiful pieces that so often take our breath away.
