I might have good english and be able to communicate with it on the spot, but when your surroundings doesnt speak it and you cannot understand their own language, it can get a bit frustrating.

Especially if there is an emergency and nobody can understand you and you cannot understand them....

But silly me, the document got corrupted in the middle of writing...and all of my corrections and the whole chapter 3 got destroyed. I thought my other copy already had something, but nope!

And i had almost 2k written up...and it was good..

1) Do you prefer writing one-shots or multi-chaptered fics?

It really depends on the story that my brain wants to write, but I don't really have a preference - even if I only ever wrote 3 oneshots and everything else was multi-chapter stuff...

16) How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

Beside the two WIPs I have right now, I am not nurturing anything else. I wanna finish them both eventually, I just needed the time for writing again...

The one I had spend the most time thinking and planning for is The Ocean's Soul . I had wrote onto a lot of A5s and to figure out the world, deities, crews, relationships and the whole timeline fo the story XD oh and I even made some fanart cause the brairot for it was so real.

7) How do you choose which POV to write from?

I usually have at least 3 main POVs - the main two characters nad a 3rd person when it's a larger scene. I like to switch between them or adding more ocasionally. I mark that switch with " ... " on a solo paragraph. So it looks like this:

POV 2

In this way, i also swtich scenes that are happening at the same time or if they had been a progress of time between those two scenes.

As the story goes, however, the 3 main POVs get switched as the new "story arc" starts. It really mostly depends on where the story is at the moment before I start writing the new chapter, and what do I wish to show the readers.

68) What, if anything, do you do for inspiration?

I usually look through the source material and try to find a song in my library that fits a scene or a character. On top of my head, when I wrote last session of Double Life in Alone Together? (chapters 45 - 50ish) i was only listening to Something Wicked by Starset. It had just fit there so well.

72) What order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?

I write chronologycally for the most part. Usually, I create a plan of most of the chapters and what I want to happen in them. That way I have the start of the story, the scenes that I really want/can't wait to happen, and where the story goes.

Hi...it had been a moment. *checks the date* okay, fine, a little longer than just a moment, let's be real.

I had not forgotten about this work nor I had abadoned it. There have just been...a lot of stuff going on since the last time I actually posted a chapter back in December.

I had to move to a different dorm in the middle of exam season, we got 3 different papers to write for uni once the new semester started, and then the new exam season came with my weakest subjects at full front. I am still missing one for passing (and its the hardest one, obviously).

It was...not a fun the first half of 2025.

But I had not forgotten about this fanfic. I had been slowly chipping away at Chapter 7 whenever I had time or energy to write yet another thing in English. And as many of you know, English is not my first language, so I was feeling a lot of burn out from the writing.

During summer, I had the oportunity to go on a week long vacation to Sicilly, and had a week to speand at the sea and oh my stars, did that week long getaway near the sea gave me a lot of ideas for this story. I took several photos, marked down locations for isnpiration, and I was ready to start writing again!

And what was the first thing I did when I returned? Delete most of Chapter 7, of course! :D

No, but, seriously, I deleted a lot of stuff I had already written back in January...

Do I know when the new chapter will be released? Ehh... given the last exam I gotta study for and other personal stuff that had happened while on the Sicilly vacation (ie the reblog crashout from their hospital), I do not know for sure. But! I am aiming it to be released in October.

I am sitting at around 1.5K words at this moment, and I don't want to release anything until I'm over 3K OR when I am satisfied with chapters end. So that's where we are are at the moment.
