Hey er’rybody,

It’s Clyde here. I hope y’all had a good holiday and new year, the bar was packed! That being said, things have stayed busy round here and I’m goin’ on a bit of a break from here for a bit. I love y’all and appreciate er’rythin’ ya done for me in 2020. I plan on droppin’ in occasionally but nothin’ regular or consistent. Take care o’ yerselves.

G’afternoon er’ryone. Clyde here comin’ to talk with ya about somethin’ more serious than I usually do. Me and my conscious (the voice in my head tellin’ me what to do and how to act with you lot) have had a lot of back and forth on if and how to address this. This bein’ the interaction boundaries between the RP blogs and those that write in. 

Now, I am more grateful than a pig in mud that ya take time outta yer busy life to write in ‘n check in on me to see how things are ‘n t’keep me from bein’ too lonely. But I respect that this is only one part of yer life, and most certainly not the highest priority. 

This is my first try at somethin’ like this so I didn’t know what to expect when I signed on. Now, it has been a handful, sometimes more than a handful, but I respect my personal boundaries and the boundaries of those around me. These boundaries could be time, topics of discussion, length of response, content, and most importantly consent (sexual or not). All RP blogs that I have seen in this ADCU have noted 18+ and topics they may or may not wish to participate in at the top of their blogs. That bein’ said, we are all adults here, if yer under 18, ya shouldn’t be here. I mean no disrespect, we were all there at one point, but there is a time ‘n place.  

When it comes to not rebloggin’ or respondin’ or whatever ya wanna call it, there could several reasons. 

Some blogs are swamped with messages ‘n posts and things honestly get lost. 

Another option is that the post doesn’t fit with the direction their blog is goin’. In a perfect world, the blog would be able to reach out ‘n explain that but it’s not a perfect world. Sorry.

Many blogs have a list of things that are and are not allowed for interactions - those are there for a reason. Please respect them. While this is role playing, the person behind the character may have issues of their own that may not line up with the character, and for those reasons may not wish to engage in certain situations. They do not owe you an explanation in this case. 

Additionally, I know that Tumblr has been givin’ me a fit with not postin’ all my responses or not givin’ me notifications and messages. From talkin’ with other blogs, this appears to be a common issue. 

Fer me ‘n my blog, if ya feel like somethin’ has been dropped or overlooked, please send in a message to check in. Between mobile and desktop versions of Tumblr, things honestly get overlooked. Plus workin’ full time at the bar and managin’ a house on my own, my time to interact is sporadic ‘n my memory ain’t the best. 

But if the blog (mine or others) decides not to move forward with yer post/interaction, do not take it personally, because it isn’t. Everyone has created a version of the character in their mind and it is their creative responsibility to express it how they see fit, not how others try to influence. If ya would do somethin’ differently, I encourage ya to create a blog ‘n run it the way ya want to see it. 

I say all o’ that to get to this. This is fun, this has been amazing fer me ‘n my conscious as a way to escape from the shitty world we are inhabitin’ right now. This is somethin’ I do on my own time, for free, because I enjoy it. We are only human, capable of so much after all.  

At this time, I’m unsure if Clyde will be stickin’ round after Halloween. If I do, it won’t be an er’ryday thing, just for my conscious’s sake, bless ‘em. It will be because this is fun ‘n I’m thankful for the friendships developed through this outlet. If ya have any concerns or questions over this, please reach out to me.
