I find the 1798 and 1803 rebellions really underrepresented here! There are many blogs about medieval Irish history and there is @twostarsinonesphere out there doing an amazing job with the Easter Rising, but when I searched for Robert Emmet, half of the posts was goddamn T w i l i g h t
So let's change that and give my Romantic Icon boi and the Wexford bois some appreciation they deserve!
My Irish history was all about Wolfe Tone this week. I just want to appreciate him forever. A quote of his which I like is all about how The People will secure the power which theory has already admitted to be their portion.
