More Jacket Talk!

Alright well, this month I plan to get a little bit done on my jacket! This weekend, after searching on and off for a while I finally got my hands on some big boy spikes. I was only able to get 10, and considering my jacket is denim, I will have to think very carefully about where I put them so they will be sturdy and not flip over. These spikes require doing damage to the jacket itself, and most of what I do is reversible so I will have to be careful. Somewhere on the shoulders or collar are my most likely candidates. I hope to check that store again once they restock, I may be all spiked out someday. But I have to make sure I don’t “ruin” my jacket I’ve been at forrrrr… damn almost 3 years now.

I am also looking forward to making a few new patches for my jacket. I’m thinking Agent Orange and Circle Jerks because I enjoy those bands. However, I’m running out of space. I may need to remove some of the arm patches and either relocate them or set them aside for now. I will keep my postal label, and probably try to keep the fish bones since it was my first patch. But the dagger and shark jaws, although I think look nice, are essentially just filler.

Sorry if you’re here and not much into the furry things I do, but I will be attending a convention at the beginning of July. So expect to see some jacket work, some work toward my costume and more most likely.

These were bootlegged freehand, so I can’t make any duplicates. But someday I’d like to try making a stencil for patches I can hand out when I go places maybe.
