I did a redraw of the Bathtub creature. I like this one more, so I'll delete the old one. When I say redraw, I mean I used photoshop to make it look like a futuristic tablet. That was the same case with the Who’s There? Case file.

Bathtub

From another prompt I can’t remember. Something Angst.

“Hush, you’ll wake the demon”

I adjusted the blanket on Mona as our guests entered the room. She lay on her stomach as she used one arm for a pillow while the other arm dangle from the sofa and onto the floor. Magica came back with a big soft pillow and slowly, without trying to wake her up, lifted Mona’s head and inserted the pillow before placing her head back down. I caressed her head when she started to stir, and she purred in response.

A beast lying underneath the trees shade that cover them from the warm sun. Pure bliss written across their face as they take a nap during the afternoon from a long day of work. Her relaxing and peaceful look was in contrast to the intimidating and feral look she gave to her enemies. However, this was still a beast lying in wait as one wrong move could wake her, but that image dissipated when she turned to her side and held my hand. My hand was still caressing her hair, but she held it in her own slightly smaller hand. I tried to move my hand, but she held both my index and middle finger. A small defenseless child afraid of the dark and pleading her parents to stay with them so the monsters won’t get them.

How scared they must’ve been when they weren’t there.

I actually don’t know where I got this prompt from. I got it from a picture that said “angsty prompts” I think?

Mona slowly made her way across the marble floor, blood dripping from her long fangs.

“I thought ‘listening and talking things out’ was supposed to make them understand!”

“Murder works too” Mona shrugged as the excitement cause her constricted eyes to quiver. Her rapid shallow breathing alongside her dog-like jumps shows that the adrenaline of murder hasn’t left her system.

“Adaline isn’t going to like this you know” I groaned as Mona ran across the room.

“I know,” Mona finally stopped and turned to me, “but they were so insistent on lying to me because I’m a kid. I can literally smell their disgusting intentions!” Her eyes flicker as she emphasizes her point. “so I killed them-no, I tortured them!” her crazed smile spread across her face and her eyes constricted even more before she went back to running around the room.

“Well that explains the screams” I massage my forehead as I mutter underneath my breath, “anyway YOU’RE the one who needs to report this to Adaline”. Mona halted her footsteps.

“…yeah-I know-I know…” she replied weakly as she looked away whilst holding her right arm. “…Do you think…” she twiddled with her claws, “do you think she’s going to hate me more?”

“…*sigh*…” this poor child, “I don’t think she hates you sweetheart. Frustrated yes, but I don’t think she hates you”

“…I don’t…I don’t want to frustrate her”

A small island with black sand and a smoking fire pit in the center

The embers of the flames have all died out in the fire pit. The wisps of smoke had already thinned out as they escaped their small dwelling that was surrounded by the ashy sand. The ashy sand surrounded the island until it reached the forests within the island itself. To sailors who have traversed the Seas of Aequalis itself, they would’ve known that the ashy sand was a warning of how dangerously close they are to one of the most elusive and infamous country Aequalis has ever known. They find the island itself eerie just by looking at, not to mention the mist that surrounded the island.

However, to the inhabitants of the island itself, they didn’t find at all eerie. In fact, they all found it beautiful and magical. Maybe it’s because they’ve been there for all their lives that they were able to find the beauty and magic that the outsiders could not see…

Like how the ashy beach with colours of the night can sparkle with their own stars of the sky,

Or how the beach and the mist can send someone to another world filled with mystery and wonders of their own,

Or how the calming waves, the rustling of the trees, and the feeling of the sand beneath their feet can make one feel attuned and relaxed in their own solitude…the recollection of their own thoughts and a haven for those who are looking to escape reality just for a tiny moment.

Outsiders would never grasp the full extent of beauty this island beholds, if only they are willing to put aside their fears and join the islanders for an adventure of a lifetime. If only…

If only they are willing to forget the rumours they’ve heard, the stories they were told when they were children about the island itself.

Stories of screams that echoed throughout the night.

Citizens that feast upon the flesh of criminals in public executions.

Criminals being hunted down just for the thrill of the chase.

Currency changes of body parts to feast and to trade.

Departments and School’s to get a license for Murder.

The worse one of all…is the Story of the Mad King.

A King who takes pleasure in torturing criminals that he was willing to broadcast his work all around Aequalis. The nightmares plagued the Aequalian’s slumber for many months to come.

A King who rules the island with an iron fist.

A King whose devotion to his Queen is downright terrifying.

What outsiders will never understand in the eyes and minds of the islanders is that their King is kind and wonderful person who gives the fairest of judgements. Their king tortures only those of the truly sinful. Their king who have helped and saved them from these criminals who have done atrocious things unto them and is only compiling with their selfish demands to give these criminals something worse than death because they’ve been hurt by these criminals. Their king who always and cares for his citizens and only want what’s best for them.

Their King who they’ve seen grieving for the one he lost, and their king who they’ve seen as the happiest man in Aequalis for reuniting with the one he loves again.
