Wolfburn Morven is a single malt whisky from the Scottish Highlands. It comes from Wolfburn Distillery, the northernmost distillery on the mainland, which has been active again since 2013. The name "Morven" comes from the highest mountain in the region.
Compared to the distillery's other standard bottlings, Morven is lightly peated, giving it a gentle smokiness that blends harmoniously with fruity and malty aromas. It is matured mainly in ex-bourbon casks, which impart soft vanilla and honey notes.
At 46% ABV, without chill filtration and without added color, it embodies the distillery's commitment to producing authentic, artisanal whisky. Its character is pleasantly accessible: not as smoky as typical Islay whiskies, but still with a subtle peaty note that harmonizes well with fruitiness and sweetness.
