"Look, Tess, the reason I didn't is because we don't get along. Like, at all. Besides she'll probably get herself out." Waving her gloved hand dismissively, Uzi goes to jump back onto her wolf.

"What if she doesn't?"

No response

"Uzi! Please!"

"Ok ok fine! Let's go check on corpo!"

So in a post I made before I talked about some head canons I had with Khan and his possible drone type. I wanted to expand a bit more on what I think the rescue drones could have been like. And how Uzi is affected by it.

First basic physical traits. Rescue drones are taller and stronger than the standard assembly drones. With larger hands ending in claws to better grip and climb. They're designed durable to survive the harsh weather that can and will be encountered when rescuing lost hikers and climbers. Khan is a type of leader drone, being a bit larger than the others in his squad and programmed with the wolf squad system source. In a sense he's the main 'host' that the system connects to.

Each squad usually consisted of five drones and five 'mounts'. The mounts were animal-based robots resembling sentinels. Though these robots were designed for the elements and assisted in rescuing humans. Khan's squad was that of the wolf. And his faithful companion was named Admin, the link of the wolf system and conductor of Khan's signal.

The ranger system in some ways resembles the solver. Depending on which squad it's coming from, the symbol takes a different shape. For Khan, it becomes the head of a wolf. Khan hadn't been connected to this system in years due to it being shut down shortly before the humans went essentially extinct. The wolves and other squad mounts remained dormant within their cabins for years.

Each squad has a different rideable sentinel.

Each drone had a mount and sometimes a sled if need be. Usually used to carry back injured humans. These sentinel mounts were essential in the rescue operations. Working in sync with their drone riders. Different squads helped with different tasks.

Bear squad carried rations and medical supplies for quick on-site care. The bears have large compartments on their arms and stomache for for this purpose.

Wolf Squad are the front runners. They're sent out to find the missing people as fast as possible. Often carrying sleds to bring them back if possible.

Deer Squad is a general backup for both parties in case one needs extra assistance. All-rounders who both carry supplies but move fast.

Now this is where Uzi comes in. When Khan decides to pay a visit to the old station, she comes too. Wanting both to keep him safe and learn more about his past. After showing her the wolf cabin and explaining their purpose, she's determined to find out how to re-activate them.

After doing so, things start getting odd. Khan hasn't been connected to the wolf system in years, so he needs a minute to get used to it. Once the systems are active so are the sentinels. When returning to the wolves, Uzi is linked to the system through admin. This is only possible because of the latent code khan passed down to her, much like Nori and the solver.

When the wolf system is active her solver is forcefully made latent. She has no access to her solver or her wings. Since her tail is a separate entity, it stays active despite the solver becoming inactive. What she does have access to is the map and trail data. Paths marked out on maps and with all the landmarks and trails Khan had added since the disassembly invasion started. Within moments she has real tangible history of her father's path escapades with her mother.

The secondary is riders vision. When riding on one of the wolves their vision view changes to that of the wolf sentinels. A world of black-and-white grids with trails and fellow sentinels lined in neon glow. Every step creates a colorful wave that makes the gridded landscape more clear. Copying the map data into a beautiful neon landscape.

The third and most surprising effect is that which it has on cyn. When Uzi connected to the wolf system, something seemed to happen to her. Introducing herself as serial designation C. freed from the solver's influence while the wolf system is active. C is much more bubbly, naive, and playful than Cyn. Uzi eventually starts to call this version of her 'Cynthia' and has vowed to try and get her separated from the solver for good. As Cyn does return when the solver does.

Uzi herself is still a normal assembly by model. She only inherited the wolf system code. But she did find schematics for the search and rescue drones within the same tower the system switches were in. So there's a chance for more to be built/upgraded in the future. Perhaps even adding some upgrade aspects to herself.
