Noan-Icewings are a countercultural branch who left the ice kingdom after the events of arc 2. After the attempted genocide from the animas Darkstalker, a wave of young Icewings wanted to educate themselves on animas dragons and the gifts to the tribe.

As knowledge of a crown that manipulates the queen (and by proxy the tribe) into hatred, an elaborate torture prison for one Nightwing, bloody massacres and coverups, many become disillusioned by the celebration of animas magic in the tribe. This idea is reinforced by the young Queen Snowfall not condemning animas magic and continuing to use ancient Icewing gifts in her rule. Jaded, many of this younger generation leave the ice kingdom and go to extreme lengths to separate themselves from the tribe.

Believed to be the oldest animas gift to the tribe from the first Icewing animas, the Gift of Divergence was bestowed to the entire tribe. It separated them from the rest of Pyrrhia by giving them royal blue blood, frostbreath instead of fire, cold radiance, and fur that protects from even the coldest arctic weather. A major statement for Noan-Icewings is shaving that fur as an ultimate rejection of the animas Icewing heritage.

Members of this subculture are typically marked by their uncanny bald appearance combined with skin stained in bold colors by various inks and dyes. Traditional Icewings emphasize cool "clean" colors and strict symmetry in their fashion and architecture, so Noans lean towards asymmetrical tattoos and warm "gaudy" colors to express themselves and their shift away from the tribe
