Weirdly enough, Dragonslayer actually makes Deathbringer’s actions throughout the first arc make so much more sense. Like yeah if I were a very lonely assassin who already didn’t really want to be one, and I met a talking animal who I assumed was a hallucination, and it told me that it was my conscience and to not go through with my next assignment and then threatened me to take it to an enemy palace, maybe I’d throw away everything for the first charming stranger I was supposed to kill too. Idk, sounds like a real life-changing experience.
Thinking about how if wings of fire didn’t get popular and Tui didn’t write up to three arcs then it would be canon that Kestrel killed Sky all those years ago. He never would’ve gotten to meet Wren, fall in love with snails or experience the joy of hats.
I love Sky and Wren dearly, but I draw the line at Wren staying on without a saddle and Sky knowing Pyrrhian Dragon inherently (and also being a vegetarian). Design is F2U :)
