Wow it's been a while so here is art of Alex
Probably gonna be cannon and what happens in the story I'm working on
How did woats develop to where they are now?
So the very first woat I created was Alex and originally she was gonna be a fursona. I couldn't decide if I wanted to be a wolf or goat so I mixed them both. Then she kinda became a character cause people liked her I guess. Alex was the main character I used especially for ship art and rps. So I thought maybe people wanted more variety of characters to choose from. Gabriel ( not the one I drew crucified or stabbed) then was my second woat character and then I just started making more.
It was kinda hard to think about lore or how these characters came to actually exist. A ex friend and me kinda had a idea that they were some type of breed of hellhound or demon that escaped hell and kinda took form of human then got with humans. Now they have a lore that makes sense as creatures that were made during the war to fight angels or the christain god. One of these days I'll try going deeper into woats and the different types.
They really went from btd ocs to their own thing and I'm working with my romantic partner to make a web comic for it. It's really hard lol hope that answers your question
