The End Of the Vision | Wanda Maximoff
Summary; with Westview being erased, it is Wanda’s time to say a goodbye to you.
Warnings; angst, mentions of death, spoilers for Wandavision finale
“Will it hurt?” You asked, although not for your sake, but for Tommy and Billy’s. Your sons were upstairs, having been sent to bed, so that it would be as though the darkness of sleep was sweeping over them.
But you and Wanda knew differently from your sons, it would be the Hex that moved past their reclined bodies, removing them from reality.
“No.” Wanda whispered, love persevering from her eyes. She was suffering, at a crossroads at this end for her family.
It didn’t matter that she had won against the evil witch, Agatha Harkness, whilst she had saved the town and its people, she had lost everyone else.
And soon, this version of yourself would join them, whether that be in a multiverse of madness or in nothingness. But this was the right thing, for the people that had become imprisoned in Westview.
“It is okay Wan, I am not real. I am just a memory, that was brought to some kind of light, I do not belong here, this is not the real me. Whilst I can feel, and see, and smell, these aren’t real senses. They are figments of your power, that make me seem realistic.”
Wanda held in a sob as she came closer to your face, cradling it in her soft palms. “I loved you, and I lost you. It all felt real, I wanted you back so bad.”
Thanos had killed you for his own vendetta, and that left her alone. For five years, you had waited for her, fought to bring her back, and in the end, that costed you your own life.
“There is no right way to bring back the dead. And you are doing the right thing, for the world and yourself for removing this Hex. You should never be limited to a square box, it would be the hydra base all over again.” Your nose brushed against her skin, and despite the circumstances, there was a smile painted upon your face.
“And that is exactly why I loved you, you always made me see the logic within my actions, or lack of. With Ultron, you once told me that-”
“Following in the footsteps of a creation of Stark made you no better than him. But the thing is, you were the best person that I remember knowing. The days we would just sit and talk, watching old movies, they were my favourite.”
“They were mine too.” She smiled fondly at the memory, however, the tear that fell contradicted her expression. “You made the compound home for me, you were my home.”
“Well no matter where you go Wanda Maximoff, I will always be a part of you. I’ll never be far from your mind, and I’m sure wherever I’ve ended up, if there is some kind of afterlife, then I’m thinking of you.”
Wanda glanced out the window, she could see the Hex closing in. It was mere seconds away, and so she held onto your hand, and closed her eyes as she felt her power wash over. As she opened her eyes, she watched you fade into red specks.
You were only a memory, a shadow of your past self. But she would ensure that there would be a future version of you too, for there was no hope for her if she was without you.
The affect you had on her made her rational, and without such support, she feared what she would do without you again. And now Tommy and Billy were gone too, all of her creations were distinguished, and erased to fit this reality.
This reality was the one that she hated. It had always been so cruel, forever taking people from her life, by ending theirs. But this was the last straw, and she would fix what she deemed needing to be.
