Imagine you went to a wizard for advice. They told you what to do and you went off and did it. You go see the wizard a week later and they tell you shouldn’t have done what you did and you should now do the complete opposite. You're confused but you assume he knows best and do a 180. A week passes and you run into said enlightened being again, this time he says you shouldn’t have changed course, that was a mistake, he advises you to return to your original plan of action. The following week… you just avoid him because you know what’s coming. How long would it take you to realise this guy might be wearing a wizard’s hat but he has no fucking idea what he’s doing? Not long I’m guessing. That’s you, the wizard. Well not exactly you, but it’s the voice in your head, that’s the bullshitting wizards voice. Just because you ask it a question and you get an answer, you assume it must be right. The biggest problem is that you keep going back, not noticing that this wizard (your mind) has no clue how to tackle what’s in front of you (unless it’s about magic spells and conjuring dragons you’re shit out of luck). God, this is convoluted… Anyway, what I mean is wizards know about wizardy stuff, that’s it. Don’t ask them about taxes, depression or interior design, they have no idea. They will however, still provide you with an answer, but it’s up to you realise he has to act like he knows it all, because he’s a wizard for fucks sake. Your brain makes stuff up is what I’m trying to say.
