of all the individuals in their little group, nora winter has glass bones and paper skin. for all she can hit, she’s careful not to prolong her battles in the way kristen and shanna do; they have the resilience she does not. it’s more than the physical resilience, though. kristen is older and wiser and more experienced and balanced, and has seen things far more horrible than both nora and shanna, and shanna is a necromancer, who casually talks to the dead like they are her friends. but nora, poor idealistic, impulsive nora, starts to build something and then they shatter. a diviner, but not divine in the sense that her powers are granted by god (does god even exist, she wonders), for surely if they were she would not be so susceptible. her belief is as easily torn as it is created, and she is always the quickest of the three to express her doubt.
