fr tho i think its fun to see it as an indicator of wiz!fal's comfort level in a way? like, ae's fine with being physically vulnerable (probably due to near-invincibility) but being emotionally vulnerable with watts specifically is a real "nope this is not fun i am Seriously Upset by this turn of events" moment because ae doesn't actually have a solid, mutual bond with him. ae is confident ae could physically finagle aer way out of any scuffle the moment ae got uncomfortable, but doesn't have the same sort of inherent ability when it comes to fraught emotional conflicts.
