The stardew wizard isn't that peak tbh. Because he isn't a tactical breach wizard. I'm neutral about tactical gear and also neutral about wizards but combine the two and you basically get crack to me.
My two cents on the recent news: given that Sandy and the Wizard were the runner-ups in their respective polls (the polls that gave us Emily and Shane), I predict they will be the new singles for the upcoming 1.7 update.
I've got mixed feelings about the Wizard. I see the appeal, I absolutely do! But if we're going to make him romanceable, there should be room in his arc to address his "mystery" daughter. And other baggage.
It's the one thing I never liked about the "Romancing Rasmodius" mods out there: they feel dishonest about what a difficult personality he actually is based on his canon quotes and actions.

I'm not even a Wizard girlie but those portrait mods that take away his middle-aged features (aka his beard) piss my off so much.

I don't like how common infidelity is talked about in the community, especially with Caroline and the wizard. You mean you want Caroline and Rasmodius to be cheaters, and Abigail a secret love child??? You really want to go down that route???
Yeah yeah ppl will say Caroline deserves better than Pierre. Come on guys. We can do better than this. Not liking your husband or feeling trapped in marriage doesn't need to be a reason for someone to cheat.
Abigail too. How would she feel about that? She argues with Pierre a lot but he's the father she always knew and believed him to be.
Now, I also hate the way it's heavily hinted in the game that the wizard cheated but never really got confirmed. CA has said it before that he initially wanted us, the player, to be able to steal other people's spouses and got consequences for that. That even makes Rasmodius's affair even obvious. Yeah, this one I can't really do anything much about it. Rasmodius probably cheated.

I think it’s really weird that everyone insists Abigail is canonically the wizard’s daughter when the only real evidence is that her (canonically dyed purple) hair holds onto color really well and Pierre is suspicious of his wife, like to each their own anything is possible I just don’t like how it’s treated as canon when it is just as likely she is actually Pierre’s daughter. Jas on the other hand I am pretty sure might be the wizard’s daughter, we never see her parents and all we know is they were friends with Shane and died when she was a baby. Idk I just think it’s more compelling than Abigail being the wizard baby, plus the theory implies Shane dyes his hair purple to match hers which is cute (They’re not related, there’s no reason they’d have the same very uncommon hair color when there’s so many options unless it was on purpose)

I believe Caroline is the wizard’s daughter because Rasmodius has a dialogue where he explains that his ex-wife is the witch who created our Void chickens. He says it was a messy split, so I’m not denying that it’s possible he could have been with Caroline before/after divorcing the Witch. But I don’t think we’ll ever have confirmation on it because we don’t know anyone’s ages.
However, hair color-wise, it wouldn’t be abnormal for Caroline to have green hair because her father and mother are magical (as the witch is green). Abigail’s hair could be purple genetically from her grandfather, Rasmodius.
But who really knows? I don’t like to step on other people’s headcanons, so I fully support if you want to think Abigail is the Wizard’s daughter. But please don’t treat it like it’s a fact :)

I never got why some ppl don’t believe that Abigail is the Wizard’s daughter cus ngl the Wizard’s/Pierre’s/Caroline’s dialogue as well as Abigail having purple hair matching the Wizard’s hair is pretty convincing but I was thinking well if Abigail isn’t the daughter of the Wizard who could he be referring to when he said “I believe one of the locals is my daughter” but then it struck me that Jas has deep purple hair but then also so does Shane (thx CA for color coding your characters)
So insane and completely unreasonable HC inbound, the Wizard is Shane and Jas’ dad
