With so many guardians, one would assume the Vanguard didn’t notice those who tended to lead in their own right. In fact, it was quite the opposite. There were many who were discussed as reliable trainers for those who the Traveler newly resurrected. Every class had their star pupils with very proud leaders. It was wonderful to see guardians flourish in their talents even if sometimes that growth came with damage.
Cayde-6 was well aware of the Striker Titan whom had a rather affectionate nickname. Zavala had boasted about her on more than one occasion to which the Exo had of course teased him about. Still, he had to admit he was impressed. She had an interesting track record. A perfect combination of violent and caring, she, like many others including himself, seemed to deal with the psychological damage of a life of war. It was what made her, in his eyes, truly accessible. Other people didn’t have to agree. It was what he felt.
He watched her come in, bright eyes tracing over the gold that curled from her head. Perhaps that was another reason why he respected her. She kept herself up. A Hunter could respect that kind of time devotion.
“Don’t tell me you’re here for patrols! At this point, you should be creating them yourself.” Dropping his chin a tad, he feigned seriousness, “Only don’t do that, it’ll put me out of a job.”
