One of those places where you can hear silence. A short ride on the beach isn’t a bad idea only if you sure to clean the sand which is glued to your drive chain. This is the only road which leads to the neighbouring village. High tides would mean the village is cut off till the time the sand is visible again. #flashbackfriday: It was one of the cool evenings with a light drizzle. It was an easy ride as usual towards the town of Lato, a small town just before Leh. The feeling was short-lived when we witnessed one of the longest traffic jams in between nowhere. It was only after I walked up all the way to the first vehicle I realised the road for another 3-400 meters was all washed away. Riding back was definitely not an option but moving further wasn’t too. To make it even more it started drizzling. We were in-between nowhere with no roof on our heads and nearly no emergency foods with us we HAD to stay put. A few arguments, exchange of ideas and every possible we can make to have a peaceful sleep in the night we found an old place which could act as a perfect shelter from the bright full moon light glittering the beautiful surroundings we were royally stuck in. It was only after an unforgettable three days of us being on the road in-between nowhere we were able to go ahead on towards Leh.
