"Moira Isabelle McCormick-Di Fiore! What have I told you about answering the door without asking me first?!" Adain called before wiping her hands on a towel and strutting to the livingroom where she heard her daughter chattering to whatever unsuspecting soul was at the door. Moira was a sweet and brilliant child, but too independent and comfortable with people for Adain's liking.
She froze when she saw who stood on the other side of the doorway, eyes widening and body going rigid. Her heart was racing and she was on alert but didn't want to frighten the girl, Adain kneeled down and placed her hands on Moira's shoulders- looking her in the eyes. "Sweetheart, why don't you go run upstairs and finish that painting you started for me earlier? If you do a good job maybe we'll put it in a frame ok? - ah- no protests. Upstairs. I'll call for you when dinner is done baby." She said gently, halting the girl's protests and watching her walk away before she stood and crossed her arms, looking evenly at the man standing before her.
"Achilles? Wh- what.. How? What are you doing here? I thought you weren't due to be out for... what, three more years? I- how did you know where to find me?"
She was completely dumbfounded and a little afraid- completely unsure of how to react to the man standing before her. Last time she'd seen him he was being cuffed and put into the back of a police car, and she had never expected to see him again.
