Crowley sent away the dorm leaders and their new students. Turning to face the peculiar student in front of him, he contemplated the situation. A new student, who turns out to be magicless, but also can't be sent home? My, such a thing has never happened before! If Divus found out about such an error, the lecture Crowley would receive would never end.
"We can look in the library for the place you're from," he said, "remind me again, where do you come from?" Crowley saw the boy's nose scrunch up a little.
"Uh, America..."
Crowley paused. America? He'd never heard of that place. Perhaps the boy came from a small town, there was the case of that one new student this year coming from Harveston. "Hmm, I can vaguely remember where most of my students are from, but I've never heard of America." There was a small light in the boy's eyes which seemed to have died. Crowley felt a chill up his spine, no child should look so...empty. Like they had no hope.
"Have you heard of North America? Or South America, or Asia, or like, any of the other 7 continents?" The boy rambled off names of places Crowley didn't know. The urgency in the boy's voice was evident, even as Crowley shook his head to signal no.
"What about Earth? You know, the planet?"
"Child, I've never once heard of a planet called 'earth.'"

Well that confirmed it. Crowley hasn't heard of any of the continents, or even Earth. And considering the fact that he wasn't waking up, this isn't a dream either. Yuu is actually inside the novel, not even a cruel simulation or weird kidnapping. But, what about my family? My friends?
Have they noticed I'm gone, what do they think happened to me?
And just as Yuu thought, the library didn't have any answers either, all Crowley could surmise was that Yuu was from another world.
"Say, do you have anything on you? To verify your identity?" Crowley asked. Yuu made a face.
Did the man think he was lying?
How dare he? He wasn't the one stuck, inside a fucking novel!
Yuu's gaze hardened on the taller adult. "Why would I lie about this?" The question came off more as a snarl.
"W-well, that is true," Crowley stammered, "but the question remains, do you have anything from your world?"
Yuu dug through his pockets, he felt the leather seams of a familiar wallet. Bingo! This had his University ID too, what better form of identification? But wait.....he told the mirror he was Yuuri Fuchs right? Crowley may seem like an idiot, but there's no way he wouldn't notice that the name in his ID and the name he told the mirror weren't the same.
Shit, what do I do?
Hide it.
What? Wait, how do you know-
Dumbass, you've been leaking some of your thoughts into my head. Isn't hard to fill in the blanks after that. I don't know your full situation, but slip the ID out of the wallet
While Crowley was distracted, Yuu did exactly what the other guy told him to. Speaking of which, Yuu really needed to ask the stranger his name. Yuu prayed to the Stars and above that whoever this guy was, wasn't one of the novel's explicit characters. Please be an NPC, please be an NPC, please be an NPC!
The hell is that supposed to mean?!
"This is my wallet, it has my debit card and some cash," Yuu handed it to Crowley (he took the ID out obviously), "I don't think they'll be of much use if I'm in a different world though."
"I fear my suspicions were right, I don't recognize anything in this wallet." Crowley eyed Yuu. "However! I cannot throw a child such as yourself into the streets with no money or family."
"Ah, I know! There is an old, unused dorm on campus. I'm sure you can stay there for the time being, after all, your presence is a responsibility of the school." Crowley clapped his hands together and smiled, as if he'd come up with the perfect solution. "My, how generous I am!" The man cooed to himself.
Yuu sweatdropped. This guy....was certainly an interesting character suffice to say.

"Oh? You were a University student? Aren't you still 16, that seems a bit young no?" The two walked to the building Yuu was to reside in for the time being, the topic of Yuu's previous education somehow turned up.
"I'm 18 actually, a sophomore in University. I didn't pass the cut off date for school when I was born, so my parents joined me in a private school, so I'm a year younger than most University second years." Yuu didn't know why, though the bird was annoying, he didn't feel uncomfortable around him. Telling this small fact about himself came off as natural. And believe him when he says he doesn't trust adults easily.
"Really? The Black Carriage truly did mess up when picking you, our freshman are meant to be 16. What did you study at your school?" Oddly enough, the conversation Crowley brought up put Yuu at ease. Like for a moment, everything was normal, and Crowley-albeit weird mask-was simply another curious adult asking about Yuu's plans for the future.
"I was a Psychology major. I kind of planned on becoming a psychologist after University. I applied for an internship to see what it would be like to be a school psychologist, but that was for my junior year."
"I see, I see." A glint appeared in Crowley's eyes at that tidbit of information. For some reason, the easy going atmosphere their conversation had changed in Yuu's eyes. Why did he feel like he shouldn't have mentioned that?

".......forget charm, isn't this place a health hazard?" Yuu's eyes filled with unwavering uncertainty as he looked up at the Ramshackle building. Crowley, whether he didn't hear Yuu or choose to ignore him, paid no mind to Yuu's comment.
"Well, in you go! Don't wander off onto campus, I'll be back with essentials for you after I go consult with the rest of the staff about your position here." Crowley nudged Yuu into the building despite the intense look of disgust on his face.
Wait, what did Crowley mean by his position here? And why did he need to consult the staff? WAIT, GET BACK HERE!
But Crowley seemed to have run off before Yuu could press him further.
As Yuu walked into the living room he looked around at the mess. It can't get any worse-
PANG!
Dust flew up as a something large hit the floor. Yuu shielded his face with his elbow and coughed as he waved the dust away. Looking to see what it was, Yuu paused. A part of the ceiling just.....fell....to the floor. Yuu sighed. Nevermind, it could get worse, and it just did. Of course it did. It always does.

Now that Yuu was getting settled (barely) into the place and found a relatively clean spot on the floor to sit, he tried to tap into his-psychic?-connection.
Yo, you still there?
Obviously. This kind of thing doesn't just go away
So like, basic questions here. Who are you, why is this happening, and why do you seem so chill about it?
Now you're asking those questions? A little late don't you think
Shut up you brat
I'm Dahlia, I don't really know why this is happening, believe me, if I did, I'd stop it. And it's probably one of those fate ties, it's rare but like, the most logical option.
The fuck is a fate tie??
Of course you don't know what it is, why am I connected with an idiot. Basically, the universe decided our future or some shit are tied together, hence the name 'fate tie,' and if like, an outside force meddles with it, the fate tie like, malfunctions and does weird shit
So you think this is one of those malfunctions huh? Ugh, this is so weird
Yeah yeah, crazy shit. So what's the deal with your whole, 'stuck in a novel,' thing? Also why couldn't Crowley send you home?
Fuck do I need to explain that? Am I even allowed to? Oh who gives a shit, I'm stuck here, might as well drag someone into my mess
Um, I don't consent to be dragged into whatever's up with you
Too late
Asshole
Wait a minute. What did you say your name was?
Forgot already? Damn. It's Dahlia, Dahlia Moirai.
......fuck.
