Carolina was softly humming as she made her way through the campus grounds. So far, it had been a lovely day, and she expected it to continue that way. But the glimpse of a familiar figure up in the distance quickly ruined it. There were only two people that could destroy Caro’s mood: River Donovan and Dylan Prescott. While she had reasons to dislike the first one, she just didn’t feel at ease near Dylan. Like something was off about him and she couldn’t put her finger on it, and it just upset her. If she had to pick who would ruin her day, she’d pick River, at least she had a reason to hate him. In an oddly sad way, she hadn’t seen him around for ages, which meant the familiar figure could only be Dylan’s. But she didn’t stop her feet from moving, slowly walking closer to the boy, her mood obviously darkening with every step she took. Ultimately, she came close enough to distinguish his features, somehow slowing down. Her face twisted into a smile before her middle finger raised at him, her lips spelling the word ‘asshole’.
