It was show time.
The Conductor took one more glance at his monstrous, corrupted form in the mirror and flashed a grin. His owls and Grooves’ penguins should have, by this point, finished setting up the basement for their collaborated movie. The audience would be arriving shortly, and being a train conductor meant he was always early.
He stepped out of his room and made his way to the elevator, looking around for his colleague who fell into step next to him. “Glad tae see yeh, Grooves. I dinnae want t’ start th’ show without ye. It’d be a shame!” Of course, he wouldn’t do that, regardless. It’s not what Wishes wanted. Both directors stepped into the elevator, waited for what felt like an eternity, and stepped out to the set of their collaboration.
What a spectacle! The floor shimmered with disco-themed lights while leaving room for floorboards and a moon motif in the center. Both the signs for Grooves and himself hung above the dual-themed stage, a little lopsided, but there normally wasn’t room for both the names anyways. Spare props from past movies were scattered about haphazardly as if the other birds didn’t know which ones to use.
The two birds marched across the floor, glancing at the rowdy crowds on either side and took their place, center stage.
