What are the Wisdomverse Zeldas favorite Traveler from Octopath Traveler?
Ooh, I love this! What a fun way to celebrate the release of Octopath 0. Enjoy!
(Quick guide to the Wisdomverse|LU nicknames for the Zeldas and Links)
Every Zelda’s favorite Octopath Traveler:
Sun: Ophilia. A priestess of light on a quest to pray at three sacred locations and save the world from a deranged cultist attempting to summon the Dark God he serves? Sun can relate.
Dot: Osvald. Theorizing about the specifics of elemental magic is a favorite pastime of them both. To Dot, his professorial air feels a bit like Ezlo (and Dot reminds Osvald of his daughter).
Lullaby: Therion. They both trust no one, blend into the shadows, can act any role when they’re on a mission. They quietly agree to steal what they need— but only from those who deserve it.
Fable: Partitio. She identifies with his smooth-talking, charming nature, and the way he successfully negotiates to turn even foes into friends. Plus, he really reminds her of Ravio.
Echo: Olberic. She understands the recklessness and lack of purpose that comes from having been the hero of your kingdom— but then losing your home, family, and everything you ever cared about due to the betrayal of someone you once loved and trusted. However, both of them have found some meaning again in protecting a youthful innocent who looks up to them: Olberic with Phillip, and Echo with Dawn. For now, that will have to be enough.
Dawn: Alfyn. He’s a potion-maker, like her! And with his humble country charm, he makes her feel safe, like Sky does <3. (For his part, Alfyn’s great with kids, and gets along with Dawn easily. Dawn has this unintentional sweetness that makes people want to keep her safe, and Alfyn’s intentionally a sucker for helping folks like that.)
Tetra: Tressa. Sailing the seas, sure. But paying for things? Why the hell would you do that? Tetra finds Tressa to be extremely fun to tease— and the merchant’s bold exuberance, sailing skills, and mastery of wind magic all remind Tetra of a certain someone she refuses to admit. (Tressa, meanwhile, has worked with pirates before, though she doesn’t expect Tetra to give up her piratical ways anytime soon like Leon once did.)
Phantom: Castti. They both came back from the dead once, and they’ll do what it takes to kill the people who put them there. Phantom admires Castti’s no-nonsense approach to life and leadership… and her skill with a heavy weapon; that’s pretty cool too. (Castti finds herself reflecting on what it means to see ghosts.)
Dusk: H’aanit. Their duty to their home trumps everything else, and they’re skilled fighters when they have to be. Still, they can come off as cold, sometimes, despite their sentimentality. They have to be reminded that it’s okay to show emotion.
Artemis: Primrose. Nobility wars with a certain dangerous determination in these two. They’re not above using their sexuality to get what they want— but beware their wrath when they truly get angry.
Flora: Cyrus. Two mad scientists on a quest for knowledge. Pray they never meet. 😈
