We are snowed in here in Austin! Who would have thought that this is going to happen?! Our house and frontyard are looking more beautiful than I have ever seen them. The pristine white snow seems to let everything sparkle and shine like diamonds or pearls do. But it is too cold to be outside ( 14 F/ - 13 C lowest temperature) and really enjoy this miracle which is a disaster at the same time. We have plenty of power outages in Austin but so far we got lucky and our direct neighborhood got spared. Only two house are without water probably because of a broken of frozen pipe. But we do have friends here in Austin who are sitting in icy cold houses, because they can’t heat! So the situation could be worse for us personally. We just need to wait it out and stay at home until the streets can be used again. There is ice under the snow and our driveway and street is pretty steep so I don’t think we can drive anywhere in the moment and won’t even try!
