Kempt Tower, St Ouen’s Bay. One of many Martello towers in Jersey built to resist invasion from the French. This one was built in 1834 and can now be rented out as a holiday property. Today was a misty, damp kind of day but St Ouen’s Bay is still spectacular and I love a bracing winter walk (as long as I’m dressed up warm!)
