I don't have any specific plots in mind to request but could you please write something fluffy and angsty for MinjeongxFemReader?
winter x fem!reader
warnings/tags: fluff, angst
the rain had been hitting your apartment windows for hours.
not the peaceful kind either. it was loud, messy, the kind that made the whole city look gray and exhausted.
you sat curled up on the couch with your knees to your chest, your phone lighting up every few minutes from messages you didn’t answer. school stress, arguments at home, people expecting too much from you all at once—it had been building for weeks, and tonight everything finally felt too heavy.
the front door unlocked quietly.
“baby?”
her voice was soft immediately.
you looked up to see Winter standing in the doorway with damp blonde hair and an oversized hoodie, grocery bags hanging from her wrist. the second she saw your face, her expression changed.
“oh.”
that one tiny word almost made you cry again.
winter kicked the door shut with her foot and hurried over, dropping the bags onto the counter carelessly.
“what happened?” she asked, kneeling in front of you.
you shook your head. “nothing.”
“you’ve been crying.”
“i said it’s nothing.”
the sharpness in your voice surprised even you.
for a second, silence sat between you.
winter blinked before leaning back slightly. “okay,” she said quietly. “sorry.”
the guilt hit immediately.
you rubbed your eyes hard. “i didn’t mean to snap at you.”
“it’s fine.”
but it didn’t sound fine.
she stood up and disappeared into the kitchen without another word. you heard cabinets opening, the soft clinking of dishes, the microwave starting.
usually winter filled every room she walked into. humming songs, talking about random things she saw online, complaining dramatically about schedules. but tonight she was quiet.
too quiet.
you stared at the tv without actually watching it.
a few minutes later she returned with a bowl of ramen and placed it gently on the coffee table.
“you didn’t eat today, right?”
you looked down.
“...no.”
“i figured.”
she sat beside you, not too close this time.
that hurt more than it should have.
winter glanced at you carefully before speaking again. “you know you don’t have to tell me everything immediately, right?”
“i know.”
“but you keep shutting me out whenever things get bad.”
you swallowed hard.
“i’m trying not to make you deal with my problems all the time.”
her eyebrows pulled together instantly. “who told you you’re a problem?”
“no one.”
“but you think you are.”
you didn’t answer.
the rain filled the silence again.
winter sighed softly and leaned her head back against the couch. “you know what sucks?” she mumbled.
“what?”
“i can perform in front of thousands of people and be fine.” she laughed quietly. “but when it comes to you, i panic over everything.”
you looked at her finally.
she was staring at the ceiling now, fingers playing with the sleeve of her hoodie.
“when you stop answering my texts,” she continued softly, “or you start acting distant, i always think maybe you’re tired of me.”
“what? winter—”
“i know it sounds stupid.”
“it does sound stupid,” you said immediately.
that finally made her smile a little.
you scooted closer without thinking, your shoulder brushing hers.
“i could never get tired of you.”
winter turned her head toward you slowly.
“you say that,” she whispered, “but sometimes it feels like you disappear even when you’re right next to me.”
that one hurt because it was true.
you looked down at your hands. “i don’t know how to talk about stuff without feeling annoying.”
“you’ve listened to me cry over losing games on my phone.”
“that’s different.”
“it literally is not.”
you laughed weakly through your tears, and winter’s entire face softened at the sound.
“there she is,” she murmured.
you wiped your cheeks again. “sorry i ruined the night.”
“you didn’t ruin anything.”
“i kinda did.”
“no.” she reached over carefully, brushing her thumb under your eye. “bad days happen. i just want you to let me stay when they do.”
your chest tightened painfully.
“i’m trying,” you admitted quietly.
“i know.”
her hand slid into yours naturally.
“and i’ll wait,” she said. “even when you get quiet.”
the tears came back again, embarrassing and sudden.
winter immediately pulled you into her chest without hesitation.
“come here.”
you buried your face into her hoodie while she wrapped both arms around you, warm and steady. she smelled like rain and vanilla perfume and the iced coffee she practically lived off of.
neither of you spoke for a while.
she just rubbed slow circles into your back while the storm raged outside.
eventually, winter tilted her head down slightly. “you know,” she mumbled, “i bought strawberry mochi because i remembered you saying you wanted some last week.”
you let out a small laugh against her shoulder. “seriously?”
“mhm.”
“you went out in this weather for mochi?”
“i’m an amazing girlfriend.”
“you’re ridiculous.”
“and you love me.”
you finally looked up at her.
winter smiled when she saw you weren’t crying as hard anymore. a few strands of damp hair fell into her eyes, and you reached up automatically to fix them for her.
her expression softened immediately at the gesture.
“there you are my sweet girl,” she whispered again.
