So I have both fire alpaca and medibang, and the pen pressure didn't work on fire alpaca but does on medibang. I draw on a pro surface 3, is there a way that I can change it to where it works better because fire alpaca is really the only thing I can animate with right now.
Firstly, make sure you have installed the optional 64-bit Wintab driver for the Surface Pro 3, available here. You might have to restart the computer a few times before that driver kicks in and loads properly (I had to restart two or three times last time I got FireAlpaca pressure working on the SP3 I have intermittent access to).Â
Next, try File menu, Environment Setting, and change Brush Coordinate from Use Tablet Coordinate to Use Mouse Coordinate.Â
This step might not be an option for the Surface Pro 3, donât have access to one right now to check: If your tablet software allows it, and if you are using Windows, turn off Windows Ink/TabletPC services. Wacom (under Mapping) and Huion have this option as a sheckbox, and Yiynova has it under Ink Services or something similar, I canât remember if the SP3 has this.
Also turn off other tablet services built into Windows or your tablet software, especially Pen Flicks (the Pen and Touch applet in the Control Panel) or long-press or press-and-hold or hard-press for right-click (try the Pen and Touch applet in the Control Panel and/or your pen settings control applet, which might be in Control Panel, or in the system tray in the right lower corner, or maybe in the start menu). When i was trying to fix my strokes so they sized by pressure, it acted as if i were using a mouse pad when i'm using my pen. Using the force fade in/out give the strokes an unrealistic look and will leave spaces at the start and end of the strokes and it bothers me. The problem isn't my computer because when i use the pen note program, the pressure sensitivity works just fine. and it's not my tablet because it worked with this program on another computer. I love this program, please help
Lots of other programs are now using the Ink/TabletPC pressure system built into Windows. FireAlpaca is using the older Wintab pressure system provided by the manufacturer.
1. Install the latest tablet driver software from the manufacturerâs website. If they have a separate Wintab driver, install that as well. Always restart your computer after installing any new hardware support.
2. Some of the new Windows pen services interfere with Wintab. Turn off pen flicks (Windows Control Panel, icon view, Pen and Touch applet). Turn off long press for right-click or hard press for right-click for your pen (check both the Pen and Touch applet, and any separate tablet or control applet for your pen - e.g. Huion has an icon in the system tray down in the corner near the date/time). If your pen software allows, turn off Ink or TabletPC while using FireAlpaca (if you are lucky, it is a checkbox in your pen software). See this page for more actions you can try to fix the problem (well, except for Ugee or Kanvas brands, they donât seem to have compatible Wintab software for FireAlpaca).
3. If all else fails, try MediBang Paint Pro, which is based on FireAlpaca (same paint engine and interface, same file format, no animation feature, extra cloud-based libraries and a few extra non-cloud features). It seems to have better Ink/TabletPC compatibility (but as a result, will not run on Windows XP).

Can't get my pen sensitivity to work at all on my Surface Book. Tried the suggestions in the FAQ, but none seemed to work. Anything else I could try? Thanks
Download and install the Wintab driver from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49497
I assume youâll need the 64-bit version. Restart the computer afterwards.
FireAlpaca and other programs using Wintab wonât detect pressure without it.
