I've never thought about it before As Winslow, most of the music in Phantom of the Paradise was really preformed in universe, because that's an important part of the story, can't have a guy get his music stolen without actual music to be stolen. However I don't remember the regular background score being in universe. Also songs like "Beauty and the Beast" and "Never Thought I'd Get to Meet the Devil" didn't play in universe either, but they were both songs that I had written. I've seen people suggest "Never Thought I'd Get to Meet the Devil" reflects what I was thinking about while approaching the Swanage, in my case that's not true. I had written that previously for Faust, and it didn't even occur to me how ironic the lyrics of it where about to get for me in the moment. As Marco and as another kin I won't say because its highly spesific, some TTRPG mechanics came access in universe but not quite as directly, like we didn't have dice to roll but some of the bits and errors done by the players came though in universe and as a toon thing like thought bubbles, 'the fourth wall' and on screen text are interactive of course, toons are perceptive to that sort of stuff #π‘π§΅πͺ
