Roof Runners (winged!PAC)
They couldn't fly, but that didn't matter. What mattered was they had each other. They couldn't fix each other's wings, but they could fix their loneliness.
Dealing with their own flightlessness was much easier when there was someone there who understood.
But that didn't mean they kept themselves to the ground. They too, would fly, just not on their wings.
They leapt and ran, soaring over the gaps between the buildings. They climbed higher and higher, becoming taller than anyone else. They saw the world in a whole different way. They saw it how it lived, not just how it functioned.
It was strange to them, that those who could use their wings only used them to get to places. Always for the destination, never for the journey.
They couldn't use their wings, but they would still fly.
And they would do it together.
