⋆。𖦹 ° [Adria Arjona, thirty-two, cis female (she/her), bisexual] Hey, did you hear about Sophia Estrada? Yeah, the local. You can really tell they’re from Windmere, right? I heard they’re a grade one teacher and they live in Main Street Flats. As far as I’ve heard, they’re really caring but also really overzealous. Apparently, they heard about Mason from other teachers at the school. That explains why they think Mason was murdered.

personality
sophia's biggest compliment would be to hear herself referred to as a ray of sunshine. she's bright, passionate, and proudly claims that she'll never back down from a challenge. for as long as she can remember, she's always tried to look at the world through a rose-coloured lens, but definitely doesn't consider herself to be naive.
working with children often reminds her of how differently they see the world, and she frequently tries to tell herself to live with a little more childlike wonder. she's comfortably outgoing and doesn't shy away from meeting new people or enthusing about her favourite topics, which can range from floral arrangements to a funny anecdote from her classroom.
backstory
death tw
sophia was born in boston, massachusetts, the youngest of four children. her mother worked as a nurse and her father was a contractor for a construction firm. he passed away shortly after she was born, and her mother fought exceptionally hard to take care of all her children—at that time all under ten years of age. when sophia was four, her mother met someone new and their family of four became a family of six. the home was always alive with chatter and chaos and as the baby of the family, sophia was often at the middle of it, enthusiastically trying to get someone to play with her or watch her latest trick.
as she grew up, a process she openly resented as a child, her older siblings began to move on and out, and the world got a lot more quiet. nieces and nephews were born and sophia swore to be the best auntie in the whole entire world. she was going to become the most successful babysitter of all time after all—at least that was what the moodboard on her childhood bedroom wall said. it seemed a no-brainer that she should work with children, and her boyfriend at the time encouraged her to apply to the same college as him. he loved her after all, and they'd get to spend so much time together.
he proposed at the end of their second year, and sophia could see everything laid out before her. three kids. a house by the ocean. two beautiful dogs that would sleep on the porch. and then the bubble popped, and at the beginning of her fourth year of schooling, he just lost interest.
it wasn't the only hard knock she experienced that year, and sometimes she wonders how she even managed to graduate, but after she did, she was so ready to live out the plan that had once been so vivid in her mind for herself. a friend of her sister's mentioned a coastal town called windmere had an opening at their k-12 school, and sophia applied almost instantly.
over time, she forgot all about the heartbreak and fell in love with her new home. nine years have now passed since she started at the school, and she's grateful every day for her asshole college boyfriend 'helping' her find herself. it's not quite moodboard picture perfect, but she gets to wake up every day and do something she loves.
wanted
close friends - people she trusts and loves spending time around
exes - even though she's very outgoing, there's a big part of her heart that is hesitant about romantic relationships. it definitely doesn't mean she hasn't at least tried though
arts & crafts pals - crochet, pottery, paper craft. sophia loves to create beautiful things, and she'd really appreciate people who share that enthusiasm
