The Final Render of the Wilson Reserve pod
Design for Wilson Reserve Pod
For the Wilson Reserve pod, I chose the vertical wooden slat idea, as it allows for maximum people watching, for drawing purposes, and lets the sunlight through. Also, with the warmth of the sun, the timber will be a beautiful feature that ties in the native aspect of the Wilson Reserve.
Designs for Wilson Reserve pod
When researching the Wilson Reserve area, next to the Anton Parson work, in Christchurch, there was a lot of sunshine, greenery and people. Playing in to the idea of an artist people watching and drawing, this pod would be best to have minimal cover to allow for maximum sunshine.Â
My top design has no canvas or covering over the wooden structure but is draped with vines or flowers, perhaps lavender.Â
The bottom design has no covering as well, but has more wooden structure, and using nice wood, to create a native and calming space, with lots of light.Â
