To anyone in the area: WillyCon is being held this weekend in Wayne, Nebraska. There will be an advanced D&D game toniht at 9pm and I'll be there. There is a vendor here selling his deceased father's gaming collection. The man never played, but loved reading the source books. Everything from Original D&D to Battletech, some of the more vintage stuff they're going half off the price on the box. Yes, boxes. I personally now own the first printings of the Red box, the Blue Box, the Teal Box, and the Black Box. Mint condition, most of it. They were read once and then placed on a shelf where no sunlight would reach them. He had AD&D adventures that look like the spines were never even opened, because the man knew what he was doing with books. There's trades for Marvel and DC stuff, as well. The entire Green Lantern Emerald Dawn II 6-part series, as well, in comics and not trades. There's other vendors, too, but meh. Come visit! There's an art show with a LOT of quality and amazing art. at a small, local scifi convention this weekend. Met one person who follows this blog and didn't know it was me running it, or that I was in town.

Met another person who follows my FB DW group that I help admin, and also didn't know I was in town, or the state.

I guess I'm going to a Sci-Fi convention next week? Some of my friends are going so I figured I'd tag along. And it's cheap, and pretty close too.

thing is, I've never been to a sci-fi con, only anime ones. And honestly, I'm not even into sci-fi. At all. But if my friends are there, I think it'll be fun. And there are a few panels that seem interesting.

plus I freakin' love anime cons, so if it's anything similar to it, it should be okay?

has anyone gone to a sci-fi con, and is willing to let me know what it's like? Do I still get to cosplay?
