I saw your "corruption by love" post, and it has me thinking... combine that with a more disillusioned target, a hero who's starting to see their title as a shackle, pressured to some high standard they struggle to achieve... and here's someone who tells them they don't need to cling to heroism, who loves them with what they see as their flaws, who doesn't fear them, but treats them as something precious...? I can only imagine how good it'd feel to let her take control, to follow the villain's lead, to let the villain adore them and indulge them, and before long, they're entirely loyal to the villain. After all, why wouldn't they be, when the villain's been so kind to them?
Being a hero is so exhausting right? To hold yourself day after day to an unmanageable standard, constantly fighting, giving your own freedom, time and energy all for a cause that cares so little for you in return?</3
To be held so close for someone who sees that twinkle in their eye, the resentment of their role, the feeling of frustration and anger. Traits they’re taught to deny and to push down. Yet here the supposed villain is comforting her for them, reassuring they are natural and okay. A single gentle hand caressing that tender face~ That they are loved for their emotions and not in spite of them<3
To be granted such warm understanding and love, sympathy a life of ‘heroics’ never once showed them. To finally let loose and embrace her influence, to be themself at last, freed of inhibitions and restrictions~
If this was evil then they wanted it, they would follow their villainess in all her conquests; after all it feels so much better than being good~
