artists definitely aren't the only ones who experience it. i've seen blogs dedicating to hating on innocent people, on graphic makers, on writers, etc. and they've all chosen to be anonymous and soon turned off their askbox, as if they didn't know they'd receive a lot of messages from people asking them to stop. they can dish out all this negativity but they can't take it and it's so pathetic that they don't realise that if you act unkind, others will be unkind to you
people are just cruel, man. I hope people of those blogs look back and realize how pathetic they are since the people they hate on create things that they like, whereas the hate blogs create nothing but utter bullshit

it really upsets me to see people dedicating a blog to harm/upset others and then continue to be spineless and anonymous. tumblr is definitely a breeding ground for that type of stuff when it should be a safe space for people to share these things without having to worry about flaws being pointed out.
i completely agree with you, especially since a lot of the art seemed to be from younger people who are just starting out. I wish there were more “cool tumblr art” blogs that reblog art AND credit the artist

a lot of the art is super cute too?? and, from what i see, are mostly just harmless doodles the OPs wanted to share so that blog is v yikes and should learn to not drag others down for literally no valid reason
yeah that’s why i got so mad I just hope the artists know that their art doesn’t suck and to watch out for blogs like that
