“Vivian and the Minor Gulch”

What would happen if Vivian, this movie’s version of the stepmother, somehow crossed paths with Ms. Almira Gulch from The Wizard of Oz?

I think this hypothetical would make an interesting One Shot.

Crossover with The Clockmaker’s Daughter

Ella lives with her stepfamily in the humble town of Spindlewood, and manages to be the one to wake up the statue of Constance Reed at a random Turning of the Key ceremony, while actually trying to make a point about how the whole thing is ridiculous (similar to what she does during the Changing of the Guard ceremony in her original movie). As a result, Ella now has to help the newly-resurrected, deeply empathetic, and hyper-realistic automaton adjust to the new world while they bond over dressmaking and wanting to follow their dreams in the City. Not sure how her stepfamily feels about this arrangement yet, but speaking of which…

Vivian might or might not be a descendant of the Glynns, which would increase the chances of Ella using what she thinks is just a random key as opposed to the official ceremony’s key; or maybe Robert and Gwen are Glynn descendants, and their father is the current Spindlewood mayor. (Let me know what you think works best?)

Ma Riley, the antagonistic seamstress from when Constance was originally built, has most likely passed away by the time this crossover might take place, but I imagine that Ella’s stepfamily might have a similar attitude to what she and her assistant seamstresses had. (Disclaimer: I have not actually seen this musical, I have only listened to the album multiple times and visited the official website)

I wonder if Will Riley and the Fab G are close friends?

Owl House Alternate Universe

Ella runs away from home after a pretty nasty fight with her stepmother, who was threatening to send her away to the Cecil Academy for Overambitious Girls because of her “blaspheming fashion fantasies”, and stumbles through a portal onto the Boiling Isles after seeing either a mouse or a butterfly stealing her design sketchbook, where she gets taken under the wing of the Fabulous Godmonarch.

Gwen and Robert are basically like the Blights (or maybe one of them is the Golden Guard?). Beatrice is this story’s version of Alador, while Rowan is the Odalia in this situation.

The Fab G’s palisman is a monarch butterfly, and while they are considered to be a Wild Witch, they studied under the Illusion track when they were in school. (I guess the Coven System is still a thing in this story?)

Robert studies under the Bard track, against his father’s wishes, and will end up having a pony for a palisman. I imagine Gwen would be wanting to study the coven track that Robert dropped.

Ella might utilize glyphs into her fashion designs, not just sketching them on paper, but also stitching them as embroidery into her clothes! Fashion from the Boiling Isles would be giving her a ton of inspiration!!

Still not sure about what everyone’s coven tracks or palismen would be, so I’m open to suggestions.

Headcannon that Abraham basically adopts Will as the son he never had, making sure to learn from the overprotective mistakes he made with Constance.

He doesn’t have to work too hard though. Will saw how his neighbors treated Constance when they found out what she was so he keeps a low profile.

He stays good friends with the Glynns.

He never forgives his mother for what she did. And he never tells her what Abraham did for him. She lives the rest of her life believing her son is well and truly dead

Will lives with Abraham in his little cottage, studying clockmaking as Abraham’s apprentice.

With his nimble clockwork fingers, the student rises above the master and Abraham couldn’t be more proud.

When Abraham dies, Will buries him in a plot next to his daughter and sells the cottage, moving on to the city to set up his own clockmaking shop, Clockwork Constance. He uses the name Abraham Riley professionally, both to honor his father figure and mentor and to keep people who knew him in his past life from finding him.
