Most Tuesdays for the last 6 years I've gone to "boob group" (actually called Full Circle, part of the La Leche League network of mother to mother breastfeeding support groups). ⠀ ⠀ When we started the group there was nothing for breastfeeding mothers in Caerphilly. Now there is lots. And, though I am sad that it will close, it is time for me to move on. New adventures await. But I will look back and remember this time with fondness and pride <3 ⠀ ⠀ The group has been the source of support, friendships and connections for so many of the mothers who came. It’s the beginning of a new year and the idea of aspiring is all around. Let’s aspire to do this, be that, and so on. But you know what the problem with aspiring to do or be something is? You end up spending all your time thinking, dreaming, and planning and little stop actually doing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Rather than aspiring to be something this year simply take action and start to embody that thing right here, right now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want to be a writer? Start writing. Want to be an artists? Start making art. Want to be a healer? Start healing people. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Chances are you’re already ARE a writer, artists, healer, or whatever you aspire to be. The issue isn’t so much that you want to be that thing but that you’re real aspiration is to do that thing for a living. You want to make money as a full time writer or you want to be a healer in private practice with regular clients. That’s different than aspiring to be the thing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Simply embody the thing you wish to be because you’re probably already doing it. Change your language around it and be more specific about what it is you ACTUALLY want. Odin says Happy Full Moon in Gemini! 🌕 A few people wanted to see what my Odin was like, and this is him. When I got him a handful of years ago I didn’t want one of the more artistic renderings of him and instead was looking for something of a more historical nature.
