just watched troy (2004) and guys… the iliad literally makes no sense unless achilles and patroclus are lovers. it’s so deeply baked into the narrative that writing it out ruins everything. why else would achilles act like that. even brad pitt knows he can’t be acting too crazy for his cousin. only alpha male tears are allowed to grace the silver screen but at what cost
