The young teenager was bursting with excitement. He was so excited for seeing Teddy for the first time since he got out of school for the summer. He could already hear his family chattering away in the kitchen, as he himself promptly got ready for the mere arrival of his older godsibling.
He had realized quite a bit recently that girls weren't really his thing and he wanted so badly to share this information with someone. He was really scared about telling his parents, but, for some reason he was more than thrilled to tell Teddy.
And he realized then that it was because he liked Teddy, and while he didn't understand age differences, he understood as of late, that Teddy liked him well enough and maybe they could do that whole thing boys were starting to do with girls.( He didn't know how that worked, seeing as his only date had been a disaster.) But, he did know that when you liked someone you made a special effort unless you were married, so he made sure to put on his nicer clothes and comb his hair.
"You look nice Al,"his mother said with a smile,as the boy leaped out his seat when he heard Teddy arrive.
