Working on a mini Wild Oleander hooded scarf to keep as a sample.
Here I'm using a black Caron x Pantone yarn, held with a dark red wool lace. It makes a cool effect!

A friend got me interested in the Wild Oleander hooded scarf pattern by Andrea Williams.
Here I'm holding one strand of Briggs and Little Durasport in Black, along with a cotton/glitter gradient yarn.
Personally, I find camel stitch (AKA 3rd loop stitch) to be annoyingly time-consuming, so I didn't do it for the first few repeats, and only started later. I'm still not entirely convinced it's worth the additional time to make the texture.
I didn't think the sparkle in this yarn would be so noticeable. I have mixed feelings about it. I'm also not sure a toothy yarn like Durasport was a good choice for a hood for me--I'm a bit sensitive to its texture. Oh well. This might be something I sell.
