My sister sent me (on my request) some pictures of two of the toads she found outside her apartment in southeastern Texas! I don't know what species they are, but she said they're pretty big - like four inches long snoot to butt!

Saw my second wild frog this summer. Really makes my happy because they've been having the hardest time these past 10+ years.
I was eating dinner with the windows open to the cool night and just now heard a frog yelling at another frog for getting too close.
*wipes tear* Ah, nature!
They decided to drain the pond nearby, which seems kinda rude, but hanging out in the puddle leftover from the stream are a whole bunch of frogs! Mostly it's their green heads that are visible, poking above the water, but there's one on the near bank as well!
I'm unsure if they are American Green Frogs or American Bullfrogs, since their distinguishing features were below water. I took this photo this Saturday.
Local Green Frog lady (her ridges say she’s a Green Frog, her ears the same size as her eyes say she’s a female) on a log near the stream, and some Green Frog tadpoles down the hill, where the males were calling! All seen the same day last week!

I saw 2 frogs today! I didn't get a picture of either of them, but I did see them!
I came across one of the tiny toads (a brown one) when stomping molehills in the front yard - probably this year's American Toad toadlet, or Woodhouse's Toad toadlet. The little one hopped into the garden, under the lambs ear. I've seen several of these tiny friendsin the front yard now - I'll endeavour to get photos posted!
The other frog is the one I keep seeing by the cold little mountain stream, the female Green Frog! Her ears (tympanium) are the same size as her eyes, which means she's female. And I know she's a Green Frog because of the twin ridges (dorsolateral folds) on her back that Bullfrogs, which look similar, don't possess.
I'm sadly moving from Ohio, but I'll continue talking about the local frogs, just from a new location!
Last Saturday, it rained a little, but was too windy for frogs and toads to be out. I haven't been over by the river since then. I did hear tree frogs sing briefly at sunset last week! I think that was Thursday night. They didn't sing long for some reason, and I haven't seen any toads or frogs in a while.
