Plant of the Day
Thursday 27 May 2021
A member of the carrot family Anthriscus sylvestris (cow parsley, wild chervil, wild beaked parsley, kex, Grandpa's pepper, hedge parsley, badman's oatmeal, lady's lace, fairy lace, Spanish lace, Queen Anne’s lace) is flowering along roadsides and in the meadows of Cambridge Botanic Gardens. It is so great that areas that were previously close mown lawn are now providing greater biodiversity.
