Envy lingers in her gaze ever so briefly as she watches; she’s long accepted that she’ll never be the graceful dancer that she dreams of being, a soft sort of sigh falling from her lips. Unfair, is a thought that comes to mind, but that’s a childish thought; for she must’ve put in lots of work to get where she is today, and for that it is admirable, nothing less. She reminds her of Rue, pretty and elegant and talented— if not just much older than them.

Although a lover of anything over-the-top and theatrical, Lelouch tires of social situations rather quickly. At first he had been enjoying himself with people-watching. Observing the gaggle of tittering girls in the corner, murmuring enchanting phrases about who would dance with who, who looked most handsome, and so on and so forth...

At first it was fun. Now it’s predictable.

He sighs, drawing a long sip of sparkling water, somewhat aware that he’s living out a sort of cliche while he continues to linger in the shadows of the ballroom. Lelouch could just leave. But there’s something that binds him to the atmosphere of the room-----------------------------the quiet before the storm, perhaps? He takes another sip of water, carbonation bursting across his tongue like little fireworks.

The orchestra strikes up a new and much slower song. Violin crooning sweet and sincere, Lelouch has to sigh as the girls giggle and disperse, presumably to ask the boys they are interested in to dance. Lelouch himself is not a good dancer; something he finds somewhat embarrassing due to his status as a noble. But his mother had died ( killed by FAERGHUS ; and lelouch instinctively harbors a resentful glare in the direction of the boar ) in the middle of his and Nunnally’s lessons and as such he had only the blood-stained memory of the massacre to go off of.

Polishing off his drink, Lelouch sets the glass on the tray of a passing waiter and turns to leave when Heidi taps him on the shoulder. It’s barely a touch; a slight brush of her fingers. There’s something almost ethereal about her tonight. Then again, there was always something almost ethereal about Heidi.

“Wanna dance?” The hint of coyness in her tone draws a smile onto Lelouch’s lips, despite his embarrassment. Well...he’s always been good when it comes to faking things.

⚔ Another day had passed within the seemingly peaceful walls of Garreg Mach and the young teacher had finally settled down in the garden, resting his eyes and enjoying the soothing breeze. It was even almost as if a weak smile could be seen curling his lips...

A deep sighed escaped his lungs and he looked at the sky, wondering if he was doing justice to what most said about him... He was young, and despite the years being a mercenary, he still had much to learn himself. So why did Rhea pick him to become a teacher at Garreg Mach?

1. Lloyd & Ella • The first image I got was of them in a modern setting, or basically just Lloyd’s canon setting, and Ella being a classmate of his or something – and them sitting somewhere, together, one reading a book and the other tinkering to his heart’s desire, both being completely at ease with each other. Romantic or just best friend material; I love this strangely domestic idea. ( also Ella being so worried every time Lloyd goes out on Ninja business ).

2. Corrin & Shou • I’ve never considered au’s for Shou much before, but him in a FE setting where he gets to use his fighting skills AND his singing skills? Yes, please! Plus, he needs more male friends, seeing as his canon best friend is a loveable but certified nutjob haha.

3. Invisi Billy & Maelys • I remember you suggesting this pairing a while ago, and I still think it’d be the cutest thing. Come to think of it, Maelys would actually fit well in his universe. Just let them look at the stars at night together, okay? 

4. Terence & Tigress • Two very different worlds, but if fairies can exist, then why not kung fu masters who happen to be animals? I wouldn’t have put these two together, myself, but they could have a very interesting friendship, once they open up to each other, I think. Especially if you consider a scenario where they’ve known each other since they were little, which is a pretty cute visual. 

5. Chase & Tadashi • I can just imagine Tadashi slapping Chase on the shoulder, all ‘loosen up, buddy’ haha Although Tadashi is more of a healer than a fighter, I could see him being friends with Chase and using his knowledge to improve armour and secure his health. Just two bros, and I like it.

1. Heidi & Sakura • The tiny smol meeting Heidi, thinking she must be a card, trying her usual routine on the unicorn and failing, but ending up with a great friend she admires like crazy? Done. I’m sold. 

2. Heidi & Maelys • Again, Maelys doesn’t open up easily, but give her a friend who is also different and who understands her moral problems ( and just problems in general )? She could grow very attached to said friend in no time, and honestly.. she needs it a lot. 

3. Heidi & Hercules • I ship it. No chill on this one whatsoever. I don’t know how they met. I just know that it would be the cutest, sweetest thing. 

4. Heidi & Wanda • Superhero verse? Superhero verse. Wanda needs a good female friend to have some downtime with. She’s only ever had her brother, and even after everything she is still surrounded by men ( because let’s face it, a friendship with Natasha is not very present ). Give her some hair braiding, movie nights with popcorn, and just a bit of relaxation away from it all. 

Marco is spreading the rumor that there was a beautiful monster hiding in the forest. Like a horse except shiny and it had a big horn on it. Most of the villagers paid him little mind, thinking he was raising a fuss so that there’d be a nice excuse to take him out there on an adventure. That way he could show them where he saw it. While this is true, the young elf boy was not lying about the former part either and had been insistent with telling everyone else he saw about it.

Kanno said that there were no unicorns in the forest, that they kept to the snow ruins. Anette found the information concerning, and resolved to run even faster when her mail route took her by the woods in question. Eunice was interested in seeing what a unicorn looked like, but inevitably had to get back to work before Marco could finish the story.

That was about the time that Raguna came in to Snowstyle Tavern to deliver the potatoes that Rita requested. Five minutes later and the entire story has been recounted yet again for the Earthmate and their rapt attention. Raguna immediately agrees to investigate, but immediately declines Marco’s request to help out citing that the monster is probably lost and scared and could be dangerous even for him.

After all, aside from the snow ruins he knew that Unicorns were found on whale island. On the odd chance that one had traveled in some way down into Trampoli he wouldn’t be surprised if it was lost and scared. The solution of course is to send it back to the first forest. So with his longsword with a fresh casting of Retornen sheathed on his back, the man sets out into the woods in search of whatever it was that Marco had seen.

“So... you’re a unicorn...?”

It wasn’t uncomfortable to speak with someone who didn’t verbally talk; not after years of making up his own conversations to feel a bit less lonely.  The spirit’s head is tilted slightly as though to portray his faint confusion, brows furrowed slightly as blue eyes stayed on her face.
