its called “Haven” and it uses a tarot card system to control the game play. you and your friends work together to make a sanctuary for people who don’t realize they need one and antics ensue as the different cards play though different events the players have to work though. they’re really excited about this and have been working on it for a while (you should also follow them on twitter, they’re neat).

Bruh the Hanukkah. The Hanukkah story would probably resonate with so many people in a bombed out wasteland don't even. The idea that cultures would have died out completely/not been carried on by survivors or through prewar books or log entries is so BORING  Thinking about how these cultures would have changed over the centuries as humankind tries to recover is so much more interesting and would allow for a much more vibrant world SO DON'T USE STORY TELLING TO JUSTIFY YOUR ANTISEMITIC BULLSHIT IF PEOPLE ARE STUBBORN ENOUGH TO PASS ON THEIR ACCENTS TO THEIR CHILDREN THEY ARE STUBBORN ENOUGH TO PASS ON HOLIDAYS AND TRADITIONS AND RELIGIONS F U C K YOU (I'm sorry if I'm overstepping I'm just really mad)

I had the same feeling like.... While Hanukkah isn’t in the Torah, it would certainly be passed down as a lesson-- like in a world where you have to stretch resources and stand against the incursion of mutants/Enclave/other people, there’s not a much better fitting option. The Maccabes would be straight up spiritual inspiration, tbh. Not to mention literally anything about the Exodus for people who have been enslaved and managed to escape.  Like, honestly even if it was remnants of those left outside and then the people in the vaults reuniting with the people outside-- you have all the chance in the world of running across a ghoul’d Rabbi that’s been teaching and leading service. Not to mention you can apply so many lessons to people having to survive in the wasteland that come from Exodus tbh, let alone people settling in the wasteland along with the jewish people finding their place.

Like, i get so excited thinking about how there’s probably a couple ghouls and a group of human rabbi’s that learned from them having a big argument about how the holidays should work out given the changed weather and lack of certain wildlife. Kosher arguments about what mutated creatures would be ok to eat with proper butchering-- especially what now counts as a blemish in an animal because everything is pretty much fucked up. If you can do kiddush using mutfruit juice or something else if one can’t get a hold of alcohol from pre-war, and if alcohol brewed post-war can count as kosher because you only have so many things to ferment and we have very few hints that grapes still exist. Because while you can use what you have, it would be something to talk about because otherwise there’s probably going to be Jewish people roaming the ruins of places to find old as heck wine. 

Like.. there’s so much depth and wonderful nuance that’s lost when people decide we don’t exist. If people from scottland can keep passing their shit down and hop the Atlantic, there is NOTHING that says Jewish people can’t exist.
