Still made to wear shackles round his wrists and under distant but watchful guard, the would be prince was allowed to roam the palace and its quarters—though he rarely strayed from the library or his own chamber.
However, today had brought a new course of action. The sunlight had beaten on Loki's windows through the morning, bright enough to lead him away from his various tomes and scrolls to venture outside, into the garden. Even at his most angry, his most envious, he had always found peace within nature, watching various buds open and close. Unfortunately, in this instance, Loki sensed another being lingering nearby, disrupting his solitary meandering.
