Androids vs Widgets
Recently I had the chance to sit down with one of my close friends and watch them play Detroit: Become Human! As I was watching the game it occurred to me that the Androids are very similar to the Widgets in IRobot. So I figured I would make a list of how they vary to help people better understand how the AI's in my story work and act. I haven't seen/played the whole game yet so I'm sure there are more differences down the line. Androids: -Bleed Blue -Do not feel pain -follow orders no matter what (Unless deviant) -Come with programs like languages and such when purchased -A heck of a lot cheaper than Widgets -Androids are more common -Can't eat -Can easily be pointed out in a crowd (Outfits and LED's) -A lot of people hate Androids -Deviants are a thing because of a virus (I think. Haven't got that far yet) Widgets: -Bleed neon green (It's coolant fluid) -Can feel pain if programmed so -Can disobey orders if the order harms or allows harm to come to a human -When bought they don't come with programs (Like extra languages, skills, or knowledge) The owner either purchases the programs separate or the    Widgets learns -Really expensive depending on model (Widgets that don't look human and know one skill are relatively cheap) -Not seen often as they are rather expensive, or they blend in easily with a crowd. -Depending on the model, they can eat (Similar to bio-generators in subnautica, the food or other organic material is turned into energy.) -Depending on the model, they look so human that you can't tell until interacting with it. -Not as many people hate Widgets. Yes, there are a few groups and protesters, but not enough to cause a lot of trouble. -Keith is so far the only 'deviant'. no other Widgets has emotions. I can't say why, because that's spoilers ;)     I'm sure there are more differences, but I can't think of any right now. If I find more differences later than I will definitely update the lists!Â
